1. Who we are
Tasqo is a trading name of Keson Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16228070), registered office 17 Brookdale Close, Rednal, Birmingham, B45 9FH, offering man and van removals, waste and house clearance, cleaning, handyman services and storage. We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy, meaning we decide how and why it is used. Our ICO data protection registration reference is 00014296664.
2. What data we collect
We collect different data depending on how you interact with us:
- When you request a quote or make a booking: your name, phone number, email address, property address or postcode, details of the service you want, and access notes (such as parking or stairs).
- When a job goes ahead: before and after photos of the work area, payment confirmation (we do not store full card details ourselves; these are handled by our payment provider), and any notes our crew takes to complete the job safely.
- When you contact us: whatever you tell us in your message, plus your contact details so we can reply.
- When you browse the website: basic technical data such as your browser type and pages visited. See section 7 on cookies for more detail.
3. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We only collect what we need to do the job properly and run the business responsibly:
- To provide a quote and deliver a booked service, which is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep a record of completed jobs, including before and after photos, which protects both you and us if a dispute ever arises. This is in our legitimate interest, balanced against your right to privacy.
- To meet legal obligations, such as issuing a waste transfer note for any waste we collect, or keeping financial records for HMRC.
- To send you marketing or booking reminders, only where you have opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
4. How long we keep it
We do not keep personal data longer than we need to. Our retention periods are:
| Data | Kept for |
| Booking and job details (name, address, service, price) | 2 years after your last job with us, then deleted or anonymised |
| Before and after job photos | 2 years, or sooner if you ask us to delete them |
| Waste transfer notes (for waste and clearance jobs) | 2 years, or 3 years if hazardous waste was involved. This is a legal minimum, not our choice |
| Marketing consent | Until you unsubscribe, and we review this annually |
| Invoices and payment records | 6 years, as required for company accounting records |
5. Who we share it with
We share the minimum data necessary with:
- The crew or contractor assigned to your job, so they know where to go and what to do.
- Our payment provider, to process your payment securely. They handle your card details directly; we do not store them.
- Our operations team, including any team members based outside the UK, who help schedule and manage bookings. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we put a proper legal safeguard in place first, such as an International Data Transfer Agreement.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date
- Ask us to delete your data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it
- Object to how we use your data, or ask us to restrict it
- Ask for your data in a portable format, where relevant
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time, with no effect on any service you've already booked
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 8.
7. Cookies and website data
Our website currently uses only the technical data needed to make pages work correctly. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future (for example, to understand which pages are popular), we will update this section and add a cookie banner that lets you choose before anything non-essential is set.
If you have a question about your data, or want to exercise any of the rights above, contact us at info@tasqo.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please reach out to us directly if you can.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business grows, for example when we add new tools or services. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
This policy is written in plain English on purpose, so it's actually useful to read. It is general guidance, not legal advice. Have a solicitor review it, alongside your terms and conditions, before this goes live, the same recommendation already made for the rest of Tasqo's compliance documents.
